Lindsay, Ont. – CUPE National President Paul Moist will lead a solidarity rally for striking City of Kawartha Lakes workers on Friday, February 15, at 12:00 noon, to support Local 855 CUPE members and highlight the City’s lack of respect and fairness for the 400 striking municipal workers.
“Public services build strong communities,” said Moist. “By contracting out public services and targeting different groups of workers, City management is going in the wrong direction.”
