OTTAWA Judy Darcy, National President of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), will deliver a major speech to delegates at the CUPE Ontario Division Convention in Ottawa, tomorrow, Friday, June 1, at the Ottawa Congress Centre (attached to Westin Hotel, 11 Colonel By Drive).

Highlights of the speech will include an action plan for civil disobedience and economic disruption to fight the increasing attack on public sector workers by the Harris government. Darcy will touch on the need to prepare for tear gas attacks as well as new militancy for strike strategies.
