REGINA: National CUPE President Judy Darcy will address about 200 delegates at the CUPE Saskatchewan Convention at 11:00 a.m. today.
Ms. Darcy will discuss the threat that international trade agreements pose to public services and democracy. She also will demonstrate the need for increased union activism in Saskatchewan and across the country.
Later in the day, Premier Lorne Calvert will address the convention. The Premier will speak to delegates at 1:30 p.m.
The convention is being held at the Delta Regina Hotel.
