Summerside, PEI  CUPE members on the picket line in Kensington, P.E.I. are getting a boost from a visit from labour leaders from across the country.

WHAT:  CUPE National President Paul Moist, National Secretary-Treasurer Charles Fleury, Regional Vice President Danny Légère and P.E.I. President Lori MacKay will be rallying in support of locked out workers.

WHEN:  Friday, December 6th, 12:30 pm.

WHERE:  Rally will take place at Kensington Town hall, located at 55 Victoria Street, Kensington., PEI.

WHY:  Workers were on the picket line Wednesday morning after being locked out by town officials. CUPE representatives are calling for the city to go back to the bargaining table and bargain in good faith.

CUPE represents 627,000 members across Canada and is a strong voice for municipal workers.
