More than 80,000 public sector workers – including CUPE members – are on strike today as talks between the common front and the provincial government continue.

Wages are the main issue in the negotiations.

The government is offering an eight per cent increase during an agreement that would cover almost seven years.

The union is asking for 13.5 per cent over five and a half years.
