Members of British Columbias largest union have elected a new executive board.

More than 400 delegates to the annual convention of the B.C. Division of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, wrapping up today in Victoria, re-elected Barry ONeill as President and Colleen Jordan as Secretary-Treasurer. The unions two ranking officers were re-elected by acclamation.

Elected as General Vice Presidents were Ken Davidson, Mark Hancock, Marilyn Hannah, and Chuck White, as well as a number of diversity and regional representatives. All executive members are elected to a two-year term of office.

I look forward to leading this executive and this union over the next two years, said ONeill. As our province and our workplaces continue to change with the times, CUPE members continue to meet these new challenges with dedication and courage. Im proud to represent them.
