CUPE Local 2829 members are considering their options in the wake of a Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission decision to allow Corus Corporation to buy their employer, CKAC, Montra006cs oldest radio station.

The local has a favourable legal opinion from Universit 0064e Montra006c law professor Pierre Trudel that suggests there may be grounds to appeal decisions described by CUPE as the death knell for independent radio in Qub0065c.

Meanwhile the local encouraged CUPE members to visit http://www.sauvonsckac.com/ to press federal Heritage Minister Liza Frulla http://www.sauvonsradiomedia.com/index3.html and Qub0065c Culture and Communications Minister Lyne Beauchamp (http://www.sauvonsradiomedia.com/index2.html) to look into the issue.
