Sydney – Members of CUPE Local 3008, employees of Cape Breton Transition House, will be hoping to bring some smiles to children at the Regional Hospital tomorrow.

CUPE National Rep. Kathy MacLeod says, “The local will be donating 100 teddy bears at 10:00 a.m. (Thursday, Dec. 21) to the Pediatrics Department at CBRH.

We know that a hospital is not the place anyone wants to be in and around the holiday season, especially for kids, and we’re hoping this small token can bring a little Christmas cheer to those who are there,” says MacLeod.

The Regional Hospital is also a CUPE workplace so what better way to spread the holiday spirit,” she says.
