Barrie Employees of the Township of Wellington North, members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 255, have ratified a new three-year contract.

The agreement gives them a total increase of 12% over the three years. Wages have been significantly lower than those in neighbouring municipalities for many years.

We’re pleased that some progress has been made and that members will be able to enjoy the holiday season, said CUPE National Representative Jim Keenan.
