ST. JOHN’S – CUPE health care workers in St. John’s and in Corner Brook will hold information pickets over the next few days about the government’s plans to privatize long term care facilities, using the so-called P3 model. The two events will take place as follows:

  • Friday, November 20 at 12:30 pm, main entrance of St. Pat’s Mercy Home, 146 Elizabeth Avenue (CUPE Local 879)
  • Monday, November 23 at 4:00 pm, main entrance to Western Memorial Regional Hospital

CUPE NL President Wayne Lucas will be joined by Local 879 President Sheree Juneja for the St. John’s event and by Local 488 President Ernest Green for the Corner Brook event.
