Representatives of CUPE, the Canadian Friends of Burma (CFOB), and Cuso International delivered over 800 postcards to the Embassy of Myanmar today, as well as a letter from CUPE National President Paul Moist.

Many of the postcards, which called for the immediate release of all political prisoners, were signed at CUPE’s national convention in Vancouver, where delegates at the Global Justice and Youth forums heard from our Burmese guests in attendance.

While the recent release of some political prisoners is a positive step, there are still hundreds being held.
