Barry O’Neill, President of CUPE British Columbia, will address the annual convention of CUPE Local 873, B.C. Ambulance-Paramedics, this Sunday in Kamloops.

O’Neill will address the convention on Sunday, October 1, at 10:00 am at the Best Western Hotel, 1250 Rogers Way, in Kamloops.

CUPE Local 873 Ambulance-Paramedics have been conducting job action as a result of stalled contract talks with the B.C. Ambulance Service.

In a separate contract dispute, more than 200 emergency dispatchers from Vancouver’s E-Comm Centre, also members of CUPE local 873, begin stepped-up job action next week.

The Canadian Union Of Public Employees is British Columbia’s largest union. CUPE’s B.C. represents more than 65,000 local public employees across British Columbia. CUPE Local 873 represents more than 3,500 B.C. Ambulance-Paramedics and Emergency Dispatchers.
