Members of CUPE Local 774 in the City of Abbotsford soundly rejected a tentative agreement at a well-attended meeting on July 13. The union bargaining team will go back to the drawing board to address substantial issues of concern for members, including a five-year agreement and wage proposals.

CUPE national representative Al Ens said that members were angered at the
lack of respect, fairness and equity in this round of bargaining.

The union has sought meetings with the employer to find a satisfactory conclusion to bargaining, but none are currently scheduled.
