CUPE Local 30 municipal workers with the City of Edmonton have ratified a new collective agreement. The new contract would include an 8.5 per cent wage increase over three-year term, as well as significant improvements to extended health care coverage and improvements to the language.

Local 30 would like to thank all 868 members who voted at various polling stations despite the bitter cold weather. They also thank Brother Greg Ingram and Sister Judy Barry from CUPE Alberta for their support and assistance during the bargaining and ratification process.

In the next few months the City of Edmonton and CUPE Local 30 will be conducting information sessions for Supervisors and Shop Stewards to explain the new and amended articles of the collective agreement.
