TORONTO, Ont. – Workers at the Toronto Zoo, members of CUPE 1600, have reached a tentative agreement avoiding work disruption.  

 

We entered bargaining for a new collective agreement at the end of February,” said CUPE 1600 President Grant Ankeman.

 

Negotiations have proceeded smoothly during the last two months and we have arrived at a tentative agreement which is mutually acceptable. Upon ratification by our membership we will have a new 3 year contract.”

 

Details of the tentative agreement will be made public following the ratification vote to be held Tuesday, May 11.
