FREDERICTON - The Union representing the New Brunswick Community College Custodians, Correctional Officers and Human Services Counsellors and the provincial government have reached a tentative agreement.

“The tentative agreement will be presented to our members tomorrow and we will have a ratification vote,” said Louis Arseneau, President of CUPE 1251.

CUPE 1251 members have been on strike since January 10, 2008.  The
main issue was wages.  Information about the agreement will not be released
until the ratification vote is over.

CUPE 1251 represents 500 people.
