Health care and support workers represented by CUPE Local 146 held an information picket in front of North Bay city hall Aug. 9. Workers protested attempts by their employer, Cassellholme Long Term Care Facility, to reduce their benefits and gut their collective agreement.

The employer told us they have a mandate from the board to seek concessions in bargaining, said CUPE national representative Jo-Ann Breton. Our members are prepared to fight concessions all the way and city hall must be held accountable.<?p>
