Vancouver - Nearly 900 flight attendants have chosen to unionize with Canadas flight attendant union the Airline Division of CUPE.
We are very happy that the flight attendants at Canada 3000 have chosen CUPE to be their union. With all the changes in the airline industry now more than ever flight attendants want a strong voice in the workplace, said Frano0069s Bellemare, President of the Airline Division of CUPE.
The flight attendants at Canada 3000 will be meeting with their new union in the next two weeks.
The airline industry is changing quickly, and workers need to have a strong and effective voice, to ensure they dont get lost in the shuffle. For flight attendants, that voice has proven time and again to be the Airline Division of CUPE, added Bellemare.
The Airline Division of CUPE has an impressive track record in defending the interests of flight attendants. Whether we are organizing for safety and respect, or negotiating industry setting collective agreements, improving our industry and the working conditions for flight attendants is our main concern, concluded Bellemare.
