The on-again, off-again P3 hospital in Calgary appears to be back on. In 2003, the Calgary Health Region said a new hospital in Calgarys south end would be a P3. In summer 2004, the health regions chief executive said there will be no P3.

The latest development in this game came in late January, when the chair of the health regions board said P3s havent been ruled out. David Tuer told the Calgary Herald the region would certainly consider a P3, saying we have not decided how we are going to build that hospital. He says the apparent shift in position from last summer is a matter of terminology, even though the words are crystal clear.
