Representatives from CUPE met with leaders of health care unions from 12 countries across the hemisphere in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November 2004. They discussed strategies for the implementation of accessible, universal public health care and resistance to free trade agreements that stand in the way of that goal. The unions adopted a common statement of principles and actions.
