CUPE 873 leaders are launching a province-wide tour to consult with 3,500 BC ambulance paramedics who’ve been on strike since April 1.

At issue are ambulance response times, staffing levels, wage parity with other emergency responders and a multi-year contract.

The paramedics continue to provide ambulance services under Essential Services. The paramedics have been calling for an independent mediator to help settle the dispute.
