Literally tons of food and clothing were collected on May Day this year as CUPE members in British Columbia went the extra mile to help their communities while also exposing the hardship caused by the Campbell government.

Our members set up collection depots across BC to help feed and cloth people in need, CUPE May Day organizer Heather Inglis says. They did it because they care about whats happening to their families, friends and neighbours.

Dozens of locals in Campbell River, Castlegar, Cranbrook, Dawson Creek, Fernie, Gibsons/Sechelt, Mackenzie, Nelson/Creston, Penticton, Port Moody, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Quesnel, Smithers, Surrey, Terrace, Vancouver and Victoria took part.
