EDMONTON – CUPE 1158, representing employees at Capital Care, is being raided by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE).

While fighting that raid, large numbers of AUPE members who also work for Capital Care started joining CUPE as a protest against poor service and a union more interested in raiding than negotiating.

CUPE is planning a bar-b-que tomorrow in support of these workers who are moving away from AUPE.

There are rumours that AUPE plans to picket the CUPE event.

If you are in Edmonton, please come out tomorrow and support CUPE.
