Barry was elected to the national executive board in 1998, first as a regional vice president. He currently holds the position of general vice president. Brother O’Neill is also president of CUPE British Columbia, representing 67,000 CUPE members. Barry has been an active member for 26 years and believes that we are a great union as a result of our rank and file activists. "Our members are our strength, and with that collective strength we will make a difference."
